Gallant Therapy Services (GTS) is looking for a Compliance Officer to join our team and help us continue doing what we do best: providing meaningful, high-quality services while keeping the individuals we serve safe, supported, and at the center of everything we do. A Day in the Life at GTS As our Compliance Officer, you'll help make sure GTS stays ahead of the ever-changing world of healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, privacy standards, and payer expectations.
You might spend your day:
Keeping an eye on changes to MaineCare, DHHS, licensing requirements, HIPAA, and other regulations Reviewing policies and procedures and making sure they're accurate, current, and actually useful Conducting internal audits and helping teams turn findings into improvements Supporting preparation for licensing surveys, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews Investigating compliance concerns and helping coordinate corrective actions Serving as a go-to resource for HIPAA, privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory questions Developing and delivering compliance education and training for staff Identifying potential risks before they become bigger problems Working with leadership to strengthen systems, processes, and accountability Tracking trends, finding opportunities for improvement, and helping GTS continuously get better In other words, you'll help connect the dots between regulations, policies, people, and the quality of services we provide. What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you'll need: A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Human Services, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred At least one year of experience in healthcare compliance, quality assurance, risk management, healthcare administration, or a related field A solid understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent writing skills—you'll be working with policies, procedures, reports, and regulatory information regularly Great organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple priorities and deadlines The ability to work independently and take initiative Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complicated requirements in a way that makes sense to everyone Integrity, professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment A collaborative mindset and a willingness to work across departments and with all levels of the organization Why You'll Love GTS Work that has a real impact on the people we serve The opportunity to help shape and strengthen an organization's compliance program A leadership team that values quality, accountability, and continuous improvement The chance to work across multiple programs and departments rather than doing the same thing every day Opportunities to develop your professional knowledge and expertise A collaborative team that values ideas, initiative, and problem-solving The opportunity to make complicated compliance requirements more practical and manageable for the people who have to follow them Ready to Join the Team? Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
