USMCA & Customs Compliance Generalist 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Auburn Hills, MI 48326 Stellantis 9,708 reviews Customs Compliance Generalist is responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations and supporting oversight of USMCA qualification of vehicles and components. They support compliance processes, maintain accurate documentation, and work with officials and internal stakeholders. Strong knowledge of USMCA regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance are essential, and must be able to adapt to changing environments. Customs Compliance Generalist may also train others, handle multiple tasks under pressure, and must remain organized and detail-oriented to meet internal & eternal deadlines.
Functions and Responsibilities:
Support comprehensive tracking of USMCA sourcing and compliance metrics Assess regional value content and labor value content calculations for vehicles and plants Evaluate the financial and USMCA content implications for changes and deviations from forecasted volumes and pricing Support refund processes for duties and taxes previously paid by utilizing USMCA Recon, Post Summary Corrections (PSC), and Drawback programs. Provide input and subject matter expertise for system development on USMCA requirements and make recommendations for changes that enhance the efficiency of operations and increase the compliance with the regulations. Support USMCA Qualification & Solicitation of all Parts and Vehicles with suppliers and internal plants Support Solicitation & Calculation of US/Canada content for Monroney label to meet
DOT/NHTSA
American Automobile Labeling Act (AALA) requirements. Support Classification of imported goods & for FTA qualification. Communicating with government agencies to resolve customs-related issues. Maintaining accurate records and documentation for US Compliance Programs. Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with customs regulations. Staying up-to-date on changes in USMCA and customs regulations and procedures.
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Economics; or relevant degree Customs knowledge and associated supply chain management disciplines Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience; with 3 years of Customs experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist Automotive industry experience is a plus
