This position works closely with site staff and management to ensure resident files, certifications, leases, reporting, and other compliance-related activities are accurate, complete, and in accordance with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory agreements, and applicable affordable housing program requirements at designated properties. Maintain current knowledge of relevant affordable housing regulations, laws, and compliance requirements. Assist site staff with the preparation and review of income certifications, recertifications, and lease agreements. Regularly review resident files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable program requirements. Identify compliance issues and work collaboratively with site staff and management to resolve deficiencies in a timely manner. Prepare and submit required compliance reports and documentation to regulatory agencies. Assist properties with Management and Occupancy Reviews (MORs) and Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) file audit corrections, responses, and submissions. Provide guidance and support to site staff regarding compliance requirements and best practices. Assist with training new and existing staff on affordable housing compliance requirements, policies, and procedures. Maintain organized and accurate compliance records and documentation. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulations, and compliance requirements preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or deficiencies in documentation. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with site staff, property management, and regulatory agencies. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and program requirements. Proficiency with standard office software and electronic file management systems. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
