Job Description
Compliance Specialist – Housing / Property Management Contract Opportunity | East Metro Twin Cities, MN | Fully Onsite A well-established property management organization is seeking an experienced Compliance Tax Credit Specialist to support its affordable housing portfolio. This role will focus on clearing a backlog of annual recertifications and ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who is available immediately and can hit the ground running with minimal training. Compensation $30 – $40/hour (Compensation may be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.) Schedule Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM No overtime anticipated Fully onsite Responsibilities Process annual resident recertifications Review and complete compliance files and documentation Ensure adherence to HUD, Section 8, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program requirements Verify income, assets, and eligibility documentation Maintain accurate resident records and compliance files Meet with residents as needed to collect documentation and complete recertification requirements Assist with resolving compliance-related backlogs Required Qualifications 2+ years of affordable housing compliance experience Experience with annual recertifications Strong working knowledge of: HUD regulations Section 8 programs Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of files Preferred Qualifications Experience using Yardi Affordable housing property management experience Assistant Property Manager or related industry background Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing affordable housing compliance and recertification processes and can immediately contribute to reducing a significant compliance backlog. Candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working directly with residents and property teams. Location Requirements This position is located in the East Metro Twin Cities area and requires daily onsite attendance. Candidates should be comfortable with the commute prior to applying. #
