GRANTSCOMPLIANCE COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY
: The GrantsCompliance Coordinator is a professional staff member of Isabel's House, the Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks. This position plans, administers, and implements grant research and writing, administers the donor database, and helps manage donor relations for Isabel's House. The position is exempt and supervised by the Executive Director, with responsibilities that require working independently and collaboratively.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
WORK
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Manages and implements an effective grant management program, including researching new funding sources, grant writing, follow-up reports, compliance, maintaining detailed records, and monitoring grant expenditures Administer donor database, ensuring accuracy and full utilization of the program Monitor fund development plans and strategies to enhance cultivation, solicitation, stewardship of donors, and data tracking Plan for and manage third-party fundraising program, tax credit program, and monthly giving program Identify, cultivate, and solicit annual, major, and planned gifts from individual, corporate, and foundation sources Establish strong relationships with staff, board, community volunteers, media contacts, and community leaders to ensure strong advocacy and fundraising success Contribute to all external communications, including the annual report, marketing materials, and electronic communications Support large and small fundraising events such as banquets, galas, luncheons, community and donor events, and any other forums as needed by the Executive Director Adheres to professional, fundraising ethics of the Association of Fundraising Professionals
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, writing, or equivalent is preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience in grant writing and development preferred Excellent time management and verbal, analytical, and written communication skills Knowledge of donor database systems is required
WORKING CONDITIONS
Required for in-state and out-of-state travel (air and automobile) approximately 10% Work on a computer for long periods of time (up to four hours) Sit or stand for long periods of time (up to four hours) Weekend and evening meetings and events required May be required to care for and lift children weighing up to 50 pounds when performing duties at the house and in emergency situations.
