Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housing Compliance Coordinator to join our team and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local housing regulations. This vital role involves managing compliance for affordable housing programs, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other HUD (Housing and Urban Development) funded initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting underserved communities, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to maintaining regulatory standards. Duties Coordinate all phases of the leasing and annual lease renewal process: waitlist maintenance, intakes, interviews, processing, preparation and distribution of applications. Processes monthly Section 8 Housing Assistance Payment Billing Processes and transmits TRACS files (Tenant Rental Assistance Certification System) and run necessary reports in HUD Secure Systems. Coordinates and maintains waiting list Assists property staff with troubleshooting occupancy and certification problems, as requested Special projects as assigned by Director of Real Estate Fosters a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, communities and partner agencies Enforces and adheres to company policies, rules and regulations Works patiently, professionally and cooperatively with residents and staff to provide high quality customer service Preserves and respects resident and applicant confidentiality Handle escalated resident grievances
Professional Experience:
Experience in management of apartments with responsibilities for leasing/admission, maintenance, management of administrative, maintenance or contract employees, general accounting background or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Must possess relevant certifications for processing affordable housing files such as HCCP, COS, TCS, etc.
Skills:
Experience with property management software such as Yardi required. Basic math proficiency required. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have demonstrated customer service and must be self-motivated, flexible, and detail oriented. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
