Job Description

Returns Analyst Location:
South Plainfield, NJ Onsite (5 days/week) We are seeking an experienced Returns Analyst to manage and optimize the returns process, including refunds, chargebacks, customer order changes, and customer dissatisfaction cases. This role works closely with the customer service team and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate processing, resolve discrepancies, and improve overall return performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee return processing and validation, ensuring compliance with company policies and managing RMA systems Analyze return data to identify trends, financial risks, and root causes; prepare regular reporting on return activity Drive process improvements to reduce return volume and minimize impact on profitability Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams to resolve issues and manage deductions Handle customer and vendor inquiries related to returns, discrepancies, and compliance matters
Qualifications:
Proven experience handling returns, refunds, chargebacks, or deductions (not an entry-level role) Strong Excel and data analysis skills Ability to manage high-volume transactions and prioritize effectively Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment Open to candidates from a variety of industries (not limited to manufacturing or CPG) This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who enjoys problem-solving and driving process improvements in a highly visible role. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
