Why does the job exist? The Lead Compliance Officer ensures timely and accurate SSA disability determinations are completed follow agency policies, rules, regulations, processes and procedures. This position manages as caseload of SSA disability applications and will serve as the agency subject matter expert and point of contact on SSA case process system, National Case Process System (NCPS), community of practice, and Micro-strategy/Business Intelligence reporting. Additionally, the Lead Compliance Officer will ensure thorough and accurate NCPS enhancement testing and functionality support is available to the internal stakeholder and end users. How does it get done? Perform SSA claim processing tasks across agency units as business needs dictate. Maintain and process a caseload of SSA disability claims, to support ongoing working knowledge of policies, procedures and processes, and assisting the New Mexico Disability Determination Services (NM DDS), in achieving federal/state goals and reporting requirements. Review, analyze, and test functionality enhancements in National Case Processing System (NCPS). Provide comprehensive training to the staff of the NM DDS, ensuring data integrity, systems functionality, accessibility, and version control. Maintain consistent data reporting processes. Provide support for systems security access and auditing, following federal and state requirements and guidelines. Who are the customers? Citizens of New Mexico, Internal customers within the New Mexico Disability Determinations unit, and agency key stakeholders. Ideal Candidate Citizens of New Mexico, Internal customers within the New Mexico Disability Determinations unit, and agency key stakeholders. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in investigations, regulation, policy, statutory, and/or contract compliance. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Background Investigation. Working Conditions Office setting with exposures to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), and extensive computer and telephone usage.
