The Senior Direct Payments Analyst will: Provide a high level of understanding of the managed care contracts, amendments, letters of direction, state and federal rules and regulations related to Medicaid. How does it get done? The Senior Direct Payments Analyst is responsible for: Reviewing Managed Care Organization (MCO) financial reports and determining financial contract compliance; Coordinating activities with the audit agent for UPL demonstration for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS); Assisting with mail merge to communicate payment to providers letters and distribution of letters; Assisting with creation of invoices for payment to MCOs, assigned one (1) MCO; Assisting with the DMZ upload and download of financial reports and other documentation as needed; Tracking quarterly and annual financial reports received, cost to charge ratio logging, monthly end report, filing contracted account auditors monthly and quarterly reports; Who are the customers? Health Care Authority (HCA); Medical Assistance Division (MAD) staff; Internal and external stakeholders; Turquoise Care MCO's; Other state and federal government agencies. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration and three (3) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, and/or statistical analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
