Position Summary The Global Trade Compliance Officer supports and manages day-to-day trade compliance activities across imports and exports, with a primary focus on U.S. import compliance and operational execution. This is a hands-on, senior-level individual contributor role that works closely with internal teams and external partners, including U.S. and international customs brokers and external U.S. trade counsel. - Execution of SAP GTS trade compliance controls, including timely review, documentation, and resolution of SPL screening blocks, alerts, and escalations Essential Functions U.
S. Import Compliance (Core Focus) o Coordinate and oversee U.S. import compliance activities in collaboration with the company's customs broker o Review and validate: § HTS classifications § Country of origin determinations § Customs valuation inputs o Monitor import activity and entry status via Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
Support responses to CBP Requests for Information (CF 28), audits, and post entry corrections o Support identification and tracking of duty exposure, refunds, and post entry adjustments, in coordination with Finance and external advisors o Help identify, assess, and escalate potential compliance risks
Export Controls & Screening
Support export compliance processes, including restricted party screening
Assist with product classification and export control assessments, including basic EAR classification and license determination concepts where applicable
Coordinate with external counsel on complex or non-routine export questions
Provide practical guidance to internal stakeholders on export-related requirements
Global Trade Compliance Operations
Implement and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures
Support compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions (imports and exports)
Assist in developing and delivering internal trade compliance training
Ensure trade compliance requirements are embedded into operational workflows
Systems & Data (SAP GTS)
Work with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) to:
Maintain product classifications and master data
Execute and support trade compliance screening processes, including monitoring, investigation, and resolution of SPL screening hits, blocks, and escalation
Ensure accuracy and consistency and audit-ready documentation of trade compliance data
Drive continuous improvement in data quality and system alignment with business processes
External Partner Coordination
Act as a key point of contact for:
U.S. and international customs brokers
External U.S. trade counsel
Ensure effective communication, follow up, and implementation of recommendations
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with: Procurement (supplier data, origin)
Logistics (shipping and documentation)
Engineering (product and technical information for classification)
Finance (valuation and post entry matters) Provide practical, business-oriented compliance support across functions Other Responsibilities Support Global Logistic activities
Other duties and projects assigned Education, Experience, and Skills Required At least 5 years' experience in trade compliance, customs, or global logistics compliance
Demonstrated, practical experience with U.S. import processes and customs broker management
Experience with SAP GTS and Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) deliver successful outcomes
Working knowledge of export controls and sanctions frameworks (including EAR concepts)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple operational priorities independently
Preferred:
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environment
Exposure to global trade compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Experience interacting directly with CBP and supporting CBP audits or customs inquiries
Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements and origin determinations
Familiarity with Israeli or other non-U.S. trade regulations
Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills enabling communication with professionals and employees at all levels and geographies
Strong organizational and follow up skills

The ability to work nonstandard working hours (early morning, late evening) is required, due to the different time zone with global operations
