Job Description
AVI Foodsystems is looking for an HR Compliance Specialist at our Headquarters Service Center in Warren, OH. The responsibilities for this position include: Conduct pre-employment compliance audits to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations Monitor regulatory changes and proactively communicate updates to HR teams and key stakeholders Apply working knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards to daily HR operations Process pre-employment clearances, including background checks and required screenings Communicate screening results to appropriate internal partners in a timely and confidential manner Maintain and update employee personnel files in accordance with compliance requirements Research and interpret employment laws and regulations to support HR initiatives Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and ensure compliance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (3+ years in HR preferred) Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resource information systems (HRIS) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skillsBenefits:
