SUMMARY:
Evaluate and oversee Airworthiness Directive and other applicable regulatory compliance for a Part 121 air carrier. Setup AD tracking in the Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure air carrier compliance. Identify hazards, potential regulatory compliance and safety violations; provide support to the company Internal Evaluation Department (IEP); detect and analyze trends of program weaknesses or deficiencies; perform risk assessment and detailed root cause analysis to include human factors; evaluate corrective action plans for effectiveness; support Engineering and Maintenance Program functions to include the FAA approved Reliability Program as needed. Responsible for accomplishing the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) functions as required by
CFR 121.373
; Conduct thorough examinations, surveillance, and analysis of the total maintenance system to ensure compliance and effectiveness with company procedures and federal regulations; Perform internal and external audits. Provide audit and analysis reports as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Check the FAA registry Daily for newly posted NPRMs (upcoming ADs)
  • Develop AD related Ref documents in MXI
  • Assist Engineering with AD related tasking
  • Assist Maintenance Programs with AD related tasking
  • Manage and facilitate Regulatory Compliance and Review Board (RCRB) and CASS meetings for FAA regulatory compliance
  • Assist QC with internal and external audits
  • Perform paperwork review for various aircraft maintenance departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A&P license or 5years equivalent working on airworthiness directives.
  • Multiple years work experience in maintenance for Part 121 or military aircraft (two year degree in Aircraft Technology related field may be used in place of two years work experience)
  • Working knowledge of manuals/ service bulletins / Maintenance Manuals
  • Working knowledge of CFR 121 and an understanding of FAA regulations
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • CASS and/or CASE auditing and analysis experience
  • Previous technical writing experience
  • Knowledge and experience in risk assessment and root cause analysis
  • Experience with setting up AD ref documents in MXI or other comparable tracking system.
