DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive trade compliance program aligned with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Monitor, track, analyze, and report tariff impacts affecting the organization's operations and supply chain. Ensure accurate documentation and record retention for all import and export activities, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards. Conduct regular trade compliance audits, assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential areas of exposure and implement corrective or preventive actions. Develop and deliver employee training programs focused on trade compliance policies, procedures, and industry best practices. Monitor changes in international trade laws, regulations, and government requirements, and update internal compliance programs and processes accordingly. Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), to support regulatory compliance, inquiries, audits, and related activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in in International Trade, Business or related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree Working knowledge of applicable trade regulations, including import/export compliance requirements, required. Experience with trade compliance software preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required. Ability to interpret regulations, manage compliance-related documentation, and support cross-functional business operations required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual or multilingual language skills are preferred.
