Temp-to-Hire Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Licensing & Compliance Specialist to support a growing organization in maintaining regulatory compliance across multiple product lines and retail locations nationwide. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in licensing, regulatory compliance, or dealer operations who thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Position Summary The Licensing & Compliance Specialist is responsible for securing and maintaining all manufacturer and dealer licenses required to produce and sell boats, UTVs, and golf carts throughout the United States. This role oversees the complete licensing lifecycle for manufacturing operations and approximately 100 retail dealer locations, ensuring all facilities maintain current and compliant credentials in states where licensing requirements apply. Key Responsibilities Maintain manufacturer licenses for boats, UTVs, and golf carts in all applicable states, including renewals, surety bonds, and required filings. Secure and renew dealer licenses for approximately 100 retail locations while coordinating with sales management regarding state-specific requirements. Develop and maintain a comprehensive state-by-state matrix of licensing requirements across multiple product categories. Manage a centralized compliance calendar to track renewals and prevent licensing lapses. Process new dealer license applications to support timely store openings. Serve as the primary point of contact with state regulators, DMV/DOR offices, and other licensing authorities. Coordinate with Finance regarding surety bonds, dealer plates, and sales tax registrations associated with licensing activities. Monitor regulatory changes impacting product lines and communicate potential business impacts to leadership. Maintain accurate and organized records of licenses, bonds, filings, and supporting documentation. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in licensing, regulatory compliance, dealer operations, or a related field. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage numerous renewals and deadlines simultaneously. Experience navigating state agency websites, government portals, and filing systems. Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation practices. Ability to interpret state regulations and translate requirements into actionable compliance steps. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the automotive, powersports, marine, RV, or manufactured housing industries. Knowledge of multi-state dealer licensing requirements.
