Job Description

Prevailing Wage Compliance Specialist - Washington State The Prevailing Wage Specialist is responsible for administering and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements for public works and government-funded projects. This role manages all aspects of prevailing wage documentation, reporting, and coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure accurate and timely compliance. What You'll Do Responsibilities Prepare and file prevailing wage Intents and Affidavits in accordance with Washington State L&I and Davis-Bacon requirements. Submit and manage certified payroll reporting across all required compliance platforms. Maintain and track wage determinations, Davis-Bacon wage determination sheets, and Form 1413 filings. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure ongoing compliance with prevailing wage documentation and reporting requirements. Assist with Section 3 reporting, apprentice utilization reporting, and compliance tracking. Support audits, correction requests, and regulatory compliance activities with government agencies. Monitor subcontractor licensing status and certified payroll submissions. Train internal project teams on prevailing wage requirements and compliance best practices. Day to Day Work Work closely with payroll, contracts, project managers, and subcontract administrators to gather accurate project and contract information. Review certified payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies between payroll and filed Affidavits. Coordinate with prime contractors and subcontractors to obtain Intent IDs and ensure timely filings. Identify wage discrepancies and assist with retroactive payment calculations when necessary. Maintain organized records and logs of open and completed Intents and Affidavits. Ensure prevailing wage projects are properly set up and tracked within internal systems such as Spectrum. Respond to audit requests and assist with prevailing wage compliance documentation. Provide ongoing support and guidance to internal teams regarding public works compliance requirements. Desired Qualifications 5+ years of experience in prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll, or public works administration. Experience working in construction, electrical contracting, or public works environments. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Familiarity with Spectrum or similar ERP systems preferred. Experience with LCP Tracker, Elation, Port of Seattle CDS, or similar compliance platforms preferred. $43.00 - $52.00 per hour
