Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated
DOT/FMCSA
Compliance Safety Director to oversee and maintain compliance for our coaches and drivers. This position is responsible for ensuring all aspects of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation industry and a deep understanding of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations. We are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn and grow in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:
Ensure ongoing compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations for both coaches and drivers.
Driver Qualification:
Oversee the driver qualification process, ensuring all documentation and training are up-to-date and in line with regulatory standards.
Insurance Renewals:
Manage and coordinate the timely renewal of insurance policies. IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement): Track and report fuel usage for accurate IFTA filings.
Accident Reporting:
Manage the reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
Emergency Response:
Serve as the point of contact on-call for emergencies and accidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
Safety Training:
Conduct safety training sessions to ensure all drivers and staff are informed and compliant with safety standards.
New Hire & Driver Recruitment:
Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new drivers, ensuring they meet all qualifications and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations (preferred, but not required). Proven experience in safety and compliance management in the transportation industry (preferred, but not required). Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, especially Excel, for reporting and data management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Safety Director or Compliance Manager. Certification in DOT compliance or safety management. Why Join Us? Competitive salary and benefits package.
