Position Responsibilities Incumbent provides support for the safety department by gathering information from McLeod and outside sources to populate reports, monitor compliance and create training tools. Interaction is required with local, county and federal government contacts to maintain compliance with commercial and regular vehicle regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compile driver, vehicle and trailer information, generate excel spreadsheets documenting performance, compliance and other general information for reporting to executive staff, insurance and governmental contacts.
  • Monitor Electronic Log compliance and sort and maintain any paper logs. Monitor FMCSA compliance for the company.
  • Maintain driver, vehicle and trailer records in McLeod, including the accident registry, OS&D log and DOT testing.
  • Support Human Resources and Recruiting by assisting in the maintenance of employee records.
  • Support the department in maintaining compliance with C-TPAT, state and federal EPA, OSHA and ISO programs.
  • Communicates with Law Enforcement and other U.
S. and State agencies, as well as foreign governmental agencies to address issues arising from violations, regulatory registration and or revenue. Computer Skills Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point is required- Knowledge of McLeod software is a plus. Experience/Familiarity using Web based programs. Research and acquire accurate, industry specific information from the internet for use in training and maintaining compliance. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative-related work and recruiting capacity - transportation industry preferred. Hold a CDL Class A also preferred. Core Competencies Incumbent must possess very efficient computer and communication skills such as: Understanding how to record, transfer and control data in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Works and Outlook.

Comfortable in intense office environments with multiple distractions; Works well alone without needed direction or as part of a group.

Ability to build and maintain solid professional relationships with other employees to nurture an atmosphere of compliance and safety at every level of the company. Physical Requirements Incumbent able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs on occasion. Some walking is necessary for physical inspection of the facility and of vehicles or cargo. Occasional use of personal vehicle is required within El Paso City Limits. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
