POSITION
Title I Compliance Specialist Exempt Status Exempt No. of Days 226 Days Department Title I / Federal Programs Reports To Director of Federal Programs or appropriate supervisor Supervises None Education High School Diploma or GED Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. (preferred) Experience Experience in auditing, monitoring, or program evaluation preferred. Position Function/Purpose The Title I Compliance Specialist ensures that all Title I programs and activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This role monitors, audits, and evaluates program implementation, provides technical assistance to campuses, and supports district leadership in maintaining compliance with all reporting and documentation requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor Title I program activities to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. Review and audit documentation, including budgets, staffing allocations, and program expenditures. Assist campuses in completing required Title I forms, reports, and assurances. Provide guidance and training to campus administrators and staff on Title I requirements and best practices. Conduct periodic compliance reviews and site visits to ensure proper implementation of programs. Maintain accurate records of program activities, compliance reports, and correspondence. Collaborate with district leadership and federal programs staff to develop policies and procedures that support compliance. Serve as a liaison with state and federal agencies during audits or program reviews. Assist in preparing materials for professional development related to Title I compliance. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Director of Federal Programs.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Title I regulations, federal and state education policies, and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
