In a construction company, this position typically includes the following duties: Insurance-related responsibilities: Manage and monitor the company's insurance policies. Request, review, and update Certificates of Insurance (COIs). Coordinate policy renewals and track expiration dates. Follow up on payroll audits and workers' compensation audits.
Compliance-related responsibilities:
Ensure the company complies with all applicable regulations, contractual requirements, and internal policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation. Monitor subcontractor compliance requirements and verify required documentation. Support internal and external audits.
Project-related responsibilities:
Verify that all project insurance and compliance requirements are met before work begins. Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and insurance providers. Track project-specific documentation, permits, and deadlines. Ensure all required records are properly filed and maintained. Maintain constant communication with project managers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Manage and track Change Orders, contracts, and information of Submittals Track invoices, pay applications, and purchase orders Key skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of construction insurance requirements and compliance regulations. Effective verbal and written communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in document management systems and software programs in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
