JOB OVERVIEW
This position supports a regulatory and compliance program focused on Vermont lead-based paint regulations, lead, and asbestos. The role involves opening, researching, tracking, and processing regulatory compliance investigations and past violations; communicating requirements to the subjects of investigations; maintaining accurate records; responding to public inquiries; and supporting educational outreach campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Open, research, and track regulatory compliance investigations. Process past regulatory violations. Communicate regulatory requirements through email, letters, and phone calls. Maintain thorough and accurate notes. Organize and store all relevant documents electronically. Respond to public email inquiries on a range of topics. Support broad educational outreach campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand and communicate complex regulatory requirements to the general public by email, phone, or letter. Comfortable working with technology and quickly learning electronic systems and moving between them with ease. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications. Ability to de-escalate challenging public interactions and guide individuals toward compliance with relevant regulations. Ability to work independently while recognizing when matters need to be brought to a supervisor or additional team members.
