Our Programs and Services Division is looking for a partner to join their team as a Management Analyst. As one of the most visible state agencies and the second-largest revenue generator in Washington State, we engage with over 6 million residents each year and collect nearly $3 billion in taxes and fees. Duties As the Management Analyst, you will use your critical thinking and research skills to provide accurate, timely guidance on agency records with a primary focus on driver and vehicle licensing laws. You will turn complex information into actionable recommendations for external customers. Through strong communication, you will deliver training on licensing laws, policies, and procedures to diverse audiences while ensuring shared understanding and compliance. Your work will directly support our mission to help every Washington resident live, work, drive, and thrive. Some of what you will do: Provide feedback to others to improve data accuracy and timeliness that enables internal and external partners to monitor compliance, support informed decision-making, and update training materials. Produce tailored trainings and educational materials, supporting consistent understanding and application of policies, data, and legislative changes relating to internal and external partners. Maintain effective relationship through collaboration, transparency, and accountability with traffic safety partners internal and external to form stronger partnerships. Help evolve the agencies recording keeping practices, to ensure DOL has the highest quality data through researching and identifying anomalies. Qualifications What you will bring to the role: Seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: Conducting research. Interpreting and/or analyzing policies, laws, rules, data, or regulations. Conducting analysis and developing requirements. Consulting on, or leading projects. Managing business operations. Policy development. Training Development Up to two (2) years of relevant education may substitute year for year for experience.
Experience must include:
Two (2) years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point to create, compose, and edit written and illustrated materials, presentations, correspondents, reports, and spreadsheets. Two (2) years of experience composing and maintaining professional level written and verbal correspondence, letters, memos, and reports to communicate & convey information, recommendations, or assessments accurately and effectively, utilizing clear communication guidelines and plain talk principles.

What may help set you apart: Demonstrated experience interpreting driver and vehicle licensing laws, policies and procedures and using this knowledge to respond to inquiries from internal and external customers and business partners. Demonstrated experience preparing, conducting and/or delivering clear, concise, and professional presentations or informational briefs to external business partners or executive level management, to include organization of materials accurately conveying the information, recommendations, or assessments. Experience working with user interfaces and web-based applications (e.g., DRIVES, OMNIXX, Judicial Access Browser System) to input and retrieve data from department-specific databases, systems, or applications. Experience working within the M365 tools - Lists, Visio SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote, Planner, Teams, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI.
