Loan Compliance Officer 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 207 West Main Street, Whitewater, WI 53190 Full-time First Citizens State Bank 5 reviews Full-time Loan Compliance Officer Job Summary The Loan Compliance Officer supports the Loan Operations department by helping ensure lending activities comply with applicable banking regulations, internal policies, audit standards, and operational procedures. This role is responsible for reviewing loan documentation, monitoring compliance controls, completing audits, identifying operational risk, and assisting with process improvements. The ideal candidate utilizes discretion and operates independently, is confidential, and adheres to the highest ethical standards with impeccable attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review consumer, residential, SBA, and commercial loan files for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal and state banking regulations, including CRA, Fair Lending, FCRA, Flood, HMDA, RESPA, TRID, Reg Z, and UDAAP requirements. Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on bank policies, procedures, and lending operations. Help update policies, procedures, and operational controls as regulations change Perform pre-closing quality control reviews and identify documentation or processing exceptions Track, document, and report compliance findings and operational issues to management Complete internal loan audits, assist external examinations, and regulatory reviews Maintain accurate records, reports, and audit trails Support implementation of corrective action plans and process improvements Collaborate with lending, credit, compliance, and operations teams to resolve issues Prepare periodic compliance and exception reporting for management Provide support and guidance to staff regarding documentation standards and compliance Qualifications High School diploma required, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field preferred Banking, loan operations, compliance, audit, or financial services experience required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to analyze documents and identify discrepancies Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Understanding of banking regulations and loan documentation preferred
