Position Summary:
The Chief Credit Officer (CCO) is responsible for overseeing the bank's credit policies and procedures to ensure effective credit risk management. The CCO will lead the credit department, manage the credit portfolio, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in credit management.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to manage credit risk. Oversee the assessment, approval, and monitoring of the bank's credit portfolio. Lead and mentor the credit team, ensuring high performance and professional development. Conduct regular reviews of credit exposures and make recommendations for improvements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies that support the bank's objectives. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and the board of directors. Stay informed about industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact the bank's credit activities.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in credit management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional leadership and team management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
