Credit Portfolio Strategy Manager Bishop & Company, Inc. - 4.2 Honolulu, HI Job Details $97,000 - $135,000 a year 15 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Credit Portfolio Strategy Manager Bishop & Company is searching for a Credit Portfolio Strategy Manager to oversee credit loss forecasting, allowance for credit losses (ACL), and portfolio performance analytics for an excellent client. This role evaluates delinquency, nonaccrual, and charge off trends; assesses shifts in loan portfolio risk; enhances credit evaluation metrics; and ensures clear, well supported documentation for risk calculations and control testing. The manager drives accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in credit loss reserves while advancing data driven reporting, automation, and strategic decision-making. This position leads a high performing risk team, setting expectations, providing coaching, and fostering continuous improvement. The manager also serves as a key liaison to senior leaders across finance, credit, risk, and technology to refine and streamline reserve methodologies. All responsibilities must be carried out in alignment with the Client's Core Values. Primary Accountabilities Direct recurring CECL model execution, including data preparation, model runs, validation, and reconciliation. Manage ACL calculations across diverse loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Develop and maintain reserve forecasting models, stress testing frameworks, and scenario analyses. Identify drivers of reserve changes, portfolio trends, and emerging risks using advanced analytics. Oversee monthly and quarterly loan reporting, ensuring data integrity and resolving cross department issues. Continuously enhance evaluation metrics and reporting tools for portfolio monitoring. Prepare credit risk reports and presentations for senior leadership and committees, covering asset quality, concentrations, and expected performance. Partner with lending units to identify and mitigate emerging portfolio risks. Review and approve documentation for forecast methodologies, assumptions, and policy updates. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, SOX controls, and periodic testing in partnership with Enterprise Risk Management. Lead, coach, and develop team members while optimizing ACL methodologies, analytics, and reporting workflows.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.Experience:
7+ years in credit administration, credit risk analysis, forecasting, accounting, or loan portfolio reporting. 4+ years managing staff, project teams, or cross functional resources. 2+ years in statistical modeling or regression analytics preferred. 2+ years in banking preferred. Must be able to read and interpret bank documents and adapt to varied work environments. Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $97-135K annually. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
