Job Description

Description:
A Credit Analyst, Level I is responsible for assessing repayment ability and collateral sufficiency for new and existing commercial borrowers. The position requires analysis from a perspective independent from the loan origination function, while providing support to the lending staff through preparation of credit memo documents. A Credit Analyst Level I is familiar with FSB Loan Policy, regulatory requirements, loan documents, appraisals and other items related to commercial and real estate lending to identify possible gaps in loan structure and documentation.
Requirements:
Essential Job Functions Prepares annual commercial loan reviews by spreading financials, organizing borrower information and assessing loan collateral. Assists lending staff in the preparation of commercial credit memos. Maintain an understanding of the loan documents associated with commercial and real estate lending, including the abstracting process, lien / title searches and the mortgage satisfaction process. Understands the real property valuation process and to create, analyze and review appraisals. Identifies Critical Policy Exceptions and Loan Covenants violations. Executes various workflows in OnBase. Assists with the creation of synopsis reports for monthly board review. Assures accuracy of core system data through review of reporting. Responsible for oversight of floor plan inspections of dealerships to validate collateral. Maintains thorough product knowledge of construction monitoring software and provides training to include policies and procedures related to construction loan documentation. Execute daily files and review and approve draw requests in accordance with customer's needs. Responsible for Identification and tracking of CRA loans. Qualification Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Must be able to analyze financial statements and taxes, including the comprehension of financial trends and spread for both commercial and agriculture borrowers. Must have an understanding of collateral documentation, taxes, appraisals and other regulatory requirements. Must be able to complete a loan request from information provided and identify if additional supporting documents will need to be requested or if pertinent gaps exist. Must have an understanding of commercial industry codes and studies on how they relate to the correct FMA and NAICS code classification. Proven ability to handle other assignments and effectively prioritize and manage workload. Banking experience required. Qualifications Desired Qualifications include basic understanding of the financial statements and taxes, limited knowledge of trends and spreads for completing annual reviews on both commercial and agriculture borrowers. Understanding of collateral documentation, appraisals and other regulatory requirements. Understanding of commercial industry codes and studies on how they relate to the correct FMA and NAICS code classification. Proven ability to handle other assignments and effectively prioritize and manage workload.
