at First Southern Bank in Carbondale, Illinois, United States Job Description This position is under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Credit Administration and is responsible for the evaluation of the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit. Analyzes loan data on new, renewal and existing loans, including data provided by credit bureaus, other financial institutions and financial institutions files. Prepares spread sheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial institution officers on new, renewal and existing loans. Oversees and manages financial information files to assure current reports, statements, accounts receivable and other information on customer accounts. Performs credit inquiries for the financial institution as requested. Establishes, reviews and updates new and existing loan files for the financial institution on a regular basis. Provide ongoing monitoring of credit exposure by preparing annual reviews on commercial credits. Track and secure annual financial statements as required by loan policy. Check pledged assets as requested by lending officer. Assist with ongoing computerization of the credit/loan review function. Assume additional responsibilities as requested. Skills required Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance Minimum five years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred Excellent financial analytical skills, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to organize and prioritize meeting deadlines Excellent project management skills Excellent knowledge of accounting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow preparation and analysis Ability to work independently Ability to interpret trade line credit bureau data Position location - 301 East Main Street, Carbondale, IL 62901 EOE/VET/DISABILITY For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
