This position will report to the Sr. Credit Analyst and Chief Credit Officer.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Developing credit information for use in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans. Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches. Input Tax Returns, Corporate & Personal Financial Statements, and other relevant financial data to create financial spreads and reports to develop trends and establish a customers' repayment ability. Analyzes Tax Returns, financial statements, and Cash Flows. Prepares summary, presents findings, and occasionally offers opinions concerning creditworthiness. Providing credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or other agencies as requested. Ensures that all credit files are kept current with latest financial statements, agency reports, etc. Adheres to all bank policies and complies with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with accuracy being paramount Be able to work independently and be Self-Motivated and, also, be able to work with a team Have a Complete understanding of: Federal Tax Returns, GAAP, accounting, and be able to read both Corporate and Personal financial statements; Be able to read and interpret Credit Reports; Should be able to use relevant Industry Analysis Possess a Strong understanding of business entity legal structures, risk rating, and financial statement analysis Possess excellent computer skills and experience with Proprietary bank software. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Specifically, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or other Business-related College Level major is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of using multiple computer screens and multi-tasking Prolonged periods of sitting and standing Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
