Job Description

As the Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager , you will be responsible for credit underwriting, monitoring, and portfolio management of commercial banking relationships to ensure strong credit quality and achieve efficient internal processes to retain and expand customer relationships. Your responsibilities will include analyzing financial data to determine the merits of loan requests, monitoring the performance of existing client relationships, and assist in the management and organization of the loan portfolio. You will manage moderately complex credits and successfully handle multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting all deadlines and ensuring compliance with credit and risk policies. Primary responsibilities include Responsible for proactive credit and risk administration of assigned portfolio accounts in the assigned CRE portfolio. Structuring, underwriting, and documenting new business, renewals, and modifications as the credit expert within the first line of defense. Provides client management support for assigned portfolio, including direct client interaction on standard credit and risk follow-up issues. Actively engages with relationship managers on progress, issues, and challenges regarding a particular customer relationship or portfolio concern. Handles multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting deadlines and schedules associated with maintaining portfolio and compliance with credit and risk policies. Manages moderately complex credits. Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of experience and exhibited competency in various aspects of commercial lending /portfolio management including financial analysis and credit structuring, understanding, and applying credit policy, and credit monitoring and risk administration practices.
- Expected to have high level of credit and documentation experience.
- Must be skilled in proposing and negotiating and recommending credit and covenant structures for approval.
- Must demonstrate practical and conceptual knowledge of credit and risk analysis.

Boston, MA (Boylston St) or San Francisco, CA (101 California St) Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $109,000- $136,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
