Job Description
Credit Analyst / Commercial Lending Underwriter Needham, MA $28.00hr - $31.00/hr Full-Time / Contract / Possible Temp-to-perm Savvy Staffing is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst for a well-established bank located in Needham, MA . This position is responsible for evaluating commercial loan requests, analyzing financial information, assessing credit risk, and supporting the growth of a high-quality commercial loan portfolio. Responsibilities Analyze and underwrite commercial loan requests in accordance with established lending policies and underwriting guidelines. Review financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, appraisals, and other documentation to evaluate creditworthiness. Assess cash flow, collateral, financial trends, and overall risk to recommend appropriate loan structures. Prepare detailed credit presentations and underwriting summaries for loan approval. Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to support customer financing needs. Meet with customers and financial professionals as needed to discuss loan requests and underwriting matters. Perform annual credit reviews and monitor existing loan portfolios for potential risks. Conduct market and industry research to support sound lending decisions. Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations, internal policies, and lending procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of commercial credit underwriting experience . Strong understanding of commercial lending principles and financial statement analysis. Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
