As a Credit Analyst I, you'll play a high-impact role in driving smart lending decisions and helping clients move their goals forward. You'll dive into industry and financial analysis for both current and prospective borrowers, delivering sharp credit insights and outstanding service every step of the way. Partnering closely with Loan Officers, you'll help move financing requests from initial review through payoff, including renewals and modifications. This is an exciting opportunity to build your expertise while supporting a dynamic, sophisticated portfolio spanning commercial & industrial, commercial real estate, and private banking / professional services clients. This position also works cooperatively to support the Lending and Credit functions of the Bank, including, but not limited to: Prepare written risk analysis of commercial loan applications Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and applicable laws and regulations
Deliverables and Accountabilities:
Conducts thorough risk analysis of applications for commercial credit including financial statement spreads, performance ratios, covenant checks, borrowing base certificates, and loan stress testing culminating in a written commercial loan analysis for review by officers, committee, or Board as appropriate. Conduct independent and objective annual reviews of existing loans as well as scheduled and unscheduled loan reviews of the existing portfolio. Regularly reviews compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the commercial lending function and internal loan policy. Prepares reports for Management and the Board as assigned. Perform collateral reviews and audits as requested. Assist the team in monitoring delinquencies, overdrafts, exceptions, and covenants and perform collateral review audits as requested. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Differentiating Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related degree. 1 + years experience as a Credit Analyst preferred. Foundation in accounting principles as they relate to banking. Strong analytical and research skills. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements. Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications making connections and utilizing resources to draw conclusions and solve complex challenges. Basic knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and government regulations. Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to handle most customer service inquiries and diffuse difficult customer situations independently. Soft Skills Work under pressure and perform several tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently or in groups. Proven excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of credit and customer information.
