CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as a Credit Analyst I. This position will be ON-SITE at our Jackson location. Key Responsibilities Analyzes commercial client financial statements, tax returns, and related documentation to assess creditworthiness. Prepares loan presentations for loan committee, which includes preparation of loan application, financial statements, cash flow analysis, and risk assessments. Assists in underwriting commercial credit requests in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements. Maintains accurate and completes files and documentation and provides updates as needed to business partners. Collaborates with Mortgage and Consumer lending to assess and grade commercial and self-employed borrowers. Completes and updates various reporting for Loan Committee or Board. May perform various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, accounting, or financial analysis.
Preferred:
Basic understanding of commercial lending concepts. Familiarity with banking regulations and credit risk principles. Skills Strong financial analysis and quantitative skills. Ability to interpret financial statements and cash flow. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Work Environment This position is an on-site position located in our Jackson, Fields office and may require occasional travel. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Comfort with using a phone, fax, or other devices for calls, document sharing, and communication. Ability to see difference between colors, shades, and brightness to identify documents. Job Summary The Credit Analyst I supports the bank's commercial lending function by analyzing financial information, assessing credit risk, and preparing credit documentation for commercial loans. This entry-level role works closely with commercial lenders and senior credit staff to ensure sound credit decisions are made while delivering timely service to clients.
