Job Description

Senior Credit Analyst | Path to Credit ManagerA growing commercial banking team is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst with a clear path to a Credit Manager role. This position is responsible for underwriting and analyzing commercial real estate and business credit requests to support sound lending decisions. The role includes preparing credit analyses, evaluating collateral and market conditions, reviewing third-party reports, and partnering with relationship managers and credit officers to assess risk and structure transactions in line with policy and regulatory standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze commercial real estate and business loan requests, including acquisition, refinance, construction, and development transactionsPrepare detailed credit presentations assessing borrower financial strength, global cash flow, guarantor support, and repayment sourcesReview and spread borrower, guarantor, and property-level financial statements and tax returnsEvaluate property cash flow, rent rolls, operating statements, and lease termsPerform financial modeling, including DSCR, LTV, sensitivity, and stress testingReview third-party reports such as appraisals, environmental reports, and market studiesAssess market trends, property performance, and geographic riskEnsure compliance with credit policy and regulatory requirementsSupport portfolio monitoring, annual reviews, covenant tracking, and risk rating updatesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experienceStrong financial analysis and accounting skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong written communication skills and attention to detailPreferredCommercial real estate underwriting experienceKnowledge of banking regulations and credit policyCore CompetenciesCredit judgment and risk assessmentFinancial modeling and analysisTime management and prioritizationCollaboration and communicationIf you are interested in this commercial banking credit opportunity with advancement into management, please contact Doug Rickart on LinkedIn, call 612-249-0330, or apply through the link provided
