Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit and Accounts Receivable Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers hands-on experience in credit management, collections, accounts receivable, and financial operations. You will work closely with our credit team to support day-to-day activities while developing valuable skills in financial analysis and customer relations. This role requires 15-20 hours per week during the school year with potential for full-time availability during breaks.
Work Location :
Candidates must be located at, and work from, our corporate office in Fargo, ND. Position is not eligible to be remote.
Responsibilities :
Support the maintenance and monitoring of accounts receivable records, including invoice tracking and payment posting. Collaborate with the accounting and sales teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely invoicing. Prepare reports on aging accounts receivable and recommend actions to mitigate risks. Allocation and reconciliation of customer payments. Perform general administrative tasks to support the credit and AR department. Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of BMC. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Candidates who are working towards a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Agricultural Business or other related major in college preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good decision-making skills. Attention to detail and a high level of organization. Computer skills essential, with experience in Power-Point and Excel required. Position would require a minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week.
