Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our client's strategic marketing and public relations plans. Research marketing needs and examine marketing trends to ensure our client is positioned competitively. Provide oversight, direction, evaluation, and management to subordinates and/or vendors involved in marketing and public relations campaigns. Increase membership acquisition and awareness of products and services. Coordinate production of media, advertising, and sales literature. Coordinate participation in community events and production of newsletters. Manage promotions and employee sales programs. Oversee day-to-day marketing functions. Monitor all marketing programs, advertising campaigns, promotions, delivery systems, and community service activities for compliance with company policies as well as external rules and regulations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and monitor the annual marketing budget and strategic marketing plan to strengthen brand equity, deepen relationships, meet goals, and drive member loyalty. Assist in developing and presenting the strategic marketing plan to executive leadership. Recommend new services and enhancements to existing services to meet member needs.
  • Create marketing and public relations concepts while leading the creative design process. Place orders and monitor quality of printed materials and deliveries. Design, develop, and implement marketing and public relations programs. Track and evaluate results and make adjustments as needed to ensure effectiveness. Oversee implementation of and reporting on approved marketing plans and budgets.
  • Measure and report campaign and promotion results for member growth, profitability, and satisfaction. Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and channels through return on marketing investments and market research assessments.
  • Create and/or review letters, direct mail, press releases, collateral materials, forms, and other communications. Manage outside advertising or marketing vendors responsible for design, content, or delivery of marketing materials, promotions, or media campaigns. Evaluate vendors and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Maintain records of all printed materials and master copies. Ensure documentation is current and complete. Maintain adequate supplies of marketing materials and collateral and determine reorder schedules. Take photographs during company events and maintain photo archives.
  • Utilize marketing systems and other tools to track and assess marketing programs while ensuring the Marketing Calendar remains current.
  • Develop and implement member surveys regarding products, services, service quality, and other feedback to help meet member needs.
  • Ensure all marketing and public relations materials comply with applicable state and federal regulations. Remain informed of changing regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, apply, and evaluate departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
Meet or exceed planned market share, asset, loan, and other product/service objectives as outlined in the business plan. Provide direction and recommendations to management based on current research data regarding market strategies and future direction. Complete assigned projects in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations while keeping management informed of any concerns. Ensure all communications, including brochures, website content, signage, and billboards, are accurate, timely, and within budget. Deliver planned results within approved budgets. Provide professional, accurate service and support to all members and associates. Prepare specifications and requests for proposals (RFPs) and conduct cost-benefit analyses. Ensure assigned reports are prepared accurately and delivered on time. Maintain a cohesive, highly trained, and motivated staff capable of meeting department demands and promoting member satisfaction, retention, and growth. Maintain accurate reporting, tracking, and measurement of departmental activity and results.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience:
Two to five years of similar or related experience.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required.
Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy, and tact is required. Work involves extensive interaction with others and may include motivating or influencing individuals. Building and maintaining strong relationships with external organizations and individuals is essential.

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, publishing software, and general office equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions involving complex concepts and variables.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY
Ability to compute discounts, interest, profit and loss, percentages, ratios, and perform basic algebra and statistical calculations.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret professional publications and prepare business correspondence, proposals, summaries, and reports using proper grammar, punctuation, and style.
