Job Description

Overview As a Credit Analyst, you will become a vital player in assessing and managing credit risk for the organization. In this energetic role, you will analyze financial data, evaluate creditworthiness, and support lending decisions that drive our business forward. Your expertise in financial concepts, risk analysis, and data collection will empower us to make informed, strategic choices while maintaining a strong focus on fraud prevention and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management within a collaborative environment committed to excellence. In addition, you will be involved with setting policy and procedures within the credit department.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzes all customer financial information, including but not limited to, business tax returns and financial statements, personal tax returns and financial statements, credit reports, rent rolls, budgets, projections and any other financial information available. Prepares cash flow models for the basis of credit decisions. Performs basic and preliminary credit analyses, identifying risks. Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Researches markets and industries and prepare reports for management. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business-related field, or minimum 3 years' equivalent work experience, required. 1+ years' experience in commercial credit analysis and/or commercial lending, or completion of a formal credit underwriting program required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Understanding of complex and simple structure of various commercial real estate transactions. Understanding of complex and simple structure of commercial and Industrial transactions including but not limited to revolving lines of credit, term debt on fixed assets, and guidance lines of credit. Good working knowledge of lending processes and subject matter. Ability to provide critical thinking to complex and simple credit request. In depth understanding of basic and complex financial documentation i.e. tax returns, financial statements, and audits. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
