Description Summary/Objective Provides analytical support to Loan Officers by completing financial analysis and other documentation required for underwriting analysis and overall risk assessment. Responsible for financial review within the existing portfolio as well as the completion of credit maintenance and clerical functions. Essential Functions Provides all pertinent lending decision making information including financial statement analysis, credit report review, account history, collateral valuation, and industry specific information and comparisons as required by the credit request.
Interprets financial trends and key financial ratios and prepares standalone and global cash flows.
Prepares credit approval memorandums including narrative and documentation of financial analysis, and identifies trends, strengths, weaknesses and associated mitigants to support lending decisions.
Coordinates with Loan Officers to ensure regular pipeline monitoring and efficient decisioning.
Performs credit maintenance functions such as assisting in clearing exceptions, collecting and tracking financial statements and maintaining credit and loan files.
Performs annual renewals of lines of credit and conducts regular reviews of commercial relationships, assigning appropriate risk ratings and ensuring compliance with Bank loan policy.
Performs supplemental cash flow analysis for consumer underwriters, specific to customers that are self-employed.
Compiles reporting including metrics on delinquency and concentrations, ACL and OREO account reconciliation.
Tracks lending policy exceptions and participated/purchased loan volume on a quarterly basis.
Completes reporting to assist in various audits.
Complies with all corporate policies, procedures and federal regulations including BSA/AML and OFAC. Required Education and Experience •Bachelor's in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required. Minimum of 1-3 years of credit analyst experience required.
Knowledge of Lending regulations required.
Demonstrates professionalism in appearance, punctuality, attitude, and grammar.
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret financial statements and perform cash flow analysis required.
