Job Description

Overview A leading Commercial Bank known for its strong risk culture, robust commercial lending platform, and commitment to disciplined credit management. This organization is recognized for its sophisticated risk frameworks and collaborative environment, offering exposure to complex credit portfolios across multiple business lines. You'll be part of a high-caliber team delivering insights directly to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders. The Role As a Senior Advisor within Credit Risk Review, you will provide independent assessments of complex commercial credit exposures across C&I, CRE, ABL, and Leveraged Lending. You will collaborate closely with credit, underwriting, and business leaders while maintaining objectivity. You may serve as Reviewer in Charge, leading review engagements and ensuring high-quality execution, reporting, and stakeholder alignment. Key Responsibilities Execute detailed file reviews on complex credit transactions, including underwriting quality, facility structures, and adherence to credit policy Assess risk ratings, borrower performance, and credit administration processes to ensure accuracy and consistency Analyze portfolio trends to identify concentrations, systemic risks, and emerging issues Lead review engagements as Reviewer in Charge, managing reviewers and finalizing assessments and reports Prepare and communicate findings, recommendations, and remediation actions to senior stakeholders and business leaders Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field 10+ years of experience in Commercial Credit, Credit Risk, or Credit Underwriting (experience with large/complex transactions highly preferred) Deep knowledge of commercial lending practices (e.g., Corporate Banking, CRE, Middle Market, Leveraged Lending) Strong understanding of credit lifecycle, risk rating methodologies, and economic impact on credit portfolios Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret portfolio data and identify trends Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence and manage difficult conversations Experience leading review engagements or managing audit/review teams is a plus
