The AT&T Employees Pittsburgh, PA Federal Credit Union was organized by employees of the AT&T Company and Western Electric Company topromote thrift among its members by offering to them a means for making safe and regular investments and to enable members to obtain loans at a reasonable rate of interest for worthwhile purposes.JOB DESCRIPTION
The Credit Union consists of a staff of two, a Manager and a CSR/Loan Officer. In order to reduce expenses all staff are cross trained to handle various positions. In the event of a loss of personnel, the remaining staff members will be "in-charge" and will coordinate hiring through the PA League, use of our Data Processor and other Credit Unions, as well as outside sources.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently manages and controls accounting, budgeting, auditing, security, compliance and other financial or related functions to ensure financial integrity. Coordinates and controls personnel and operational matters. Serves as the primary decision maker and authorized signatory to make substantial changes in work environment without requiring a higher-level approval. Supervise, monitor or coordinate work activities of subordinates. Prepares or coordinates preparation of financial reports; analyzes and interprets financial data, and management planning data for predicting resource needs and developing long range plans. Analyzes and plans for the needs of staff, capital equipment, improvements, supplies, services and takes appropriate action, considering budget limitations. Manages, pays and controls expenditures in accordance with budgeted amounts. Purchases investments, recommend loan rates and share rates to the board. Coordinates records for internal and external audits and recordkeeping. Controls, coordinates and advises on personnel matters, such as payroll, new hire actions, interviewing and selecting new staff, employee grievances, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies such as affirmative action. Advises staff on financial, technical and operational matters, instructs and orients new members of staff, committees or board of directors. Interprets, implements, develops and/or recommends changes to rules, regulations, policies and procedures set forth by the board of directors or government agencies. Responsible for collection activities. Monitors the credit union security system, computer equipment, data reporting, breaches and reporting to the board, police, members or any agencies affected. Attend required monthly board meetings.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Management and supervision practices and techniques Accounting and budgetary theories, principles and practices. State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to compliance, budgets and accounting practices. Computer skills, word, excel. Communicate effectively.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or related field AND three years of related budgeting and accounting experience; OR, Seven years of progressively responsible budgeting and accounting experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by the board of directors.BENEFITS
