This pivotal role involves overseeing credit risk assessment, underwriting, and portfolio management to ensure sound lending practices and financial stability. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, and a comprehensive understanding of credit analysis, underwriting, and risk management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence credit strategies and contribute to the organization's growth in a fast-paced banking environment. Duties Conduct thorough review of Credit Analysts credit analysis by evaluating financial statements, cash flow reports, and risk factors to determine creditworthiness of clients. Develop and refine underwriting policies to align with industry standards and organizational risk appetite. Oversee data collection processes related to borrower information, market trends, and financial metrics for accurate forecasting and decision-making. Review and analyze comprehensive financial reports that include risk assessments, portfolio performance metrics, and compliance documentation. Monitor loan processing activities from application through approval, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on servicing, and loan origination procedures to streamline operations. Mentor and oversee a group of Credit Analysts with varying skill sets and experience. Experience Proven experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management within the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis and loan structuring. Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis relevant to credit operations. Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Proficiency in financial software applications used for data collection, analysis, and reporting purposes. Prior experience as a Credit Administrator or Deputy Chief Credit Officer. Strong mathematical skills complemented by the ability to develop detailed financial analysis for decision support.
