Key Responsibilities New Customer Setup Review new customer applications for completeness and ensure all required documents are obtained Research credit history on potential new customers, using available tools to determine credit worthiness Complete initial credit review and set initial customer credit limits subject to AFL credit policy Credit Review / Existing Customers Review credit limit requests for completeness Review payment history to ensure alignment with AFL credit policy Provide initial response to requested credit limit updates Business Unit Override Preparation of business unit override requests in accordance with corporate credit policies. Ensure proper documentation and justification for exceptions to standard credit limits. Assist supervisor in monitoring override trends and escalate concerns Audit Compliance Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with SOX/JSOX and audit requirements. Partner with internal and external auditors to provide documentation, testing support, and remediation of findings. Assist supervisor in maintaining accurate records of credit decisions and override approvals for audit readiness. Process Improvements Identify opportunities to streamline credit approval processes and reduce manual interventions. Assist in implementing automation tools and workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy. Assist in developing and update policies and procedures to reflect best practices in credit risk management. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with sales, finance, and operations teams to balance customer needs with risk management. Communicate credit policies and decisions effectively across business units. Support strategic initiatives by providing preliminary credit risk insights and recommendations. Qualifications Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of experience in credit management, risk analysis, or financial operations. Knowledge of global credit risk management, audit compliance, and internal controls. Experience with ERP systems and credit management tools. Skills & Competencies Analytical skills to assess credit risk and global exposure. Knowledge of audit compliance frameworks (JSOX). Ability to communicate recommendations on business unit overrides with sound judgment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms. Continuous improvement mindset with process optimization experience.
