Job Duties Analyze and underwrite commercial and consumer loan requests, evaluating repayment capacity, collateral, guarantor support, and overall creditworthiness. Prepare loan presentations and credit recommendations that align with bank policy and regulatory requirements. Lead annual loan reviews, portfolio monitoring, risk ratings, stress testing, and industry analysis. Identify emerging credit risks and recommend strategies to mitigate portfolio exposure. Supervise and mentor Credit Analysts , ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality in underwriting practices. Partner with Loan Officers, executive leadership, and the Chief Credit Officer to support lending decisions and strategic initiatives. Assist with audits, loan reviews, regulatory examinations, and compliance activities while maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and banking regulations. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required. Advanced commercial credit training, banking certifications, or related professional development preferred. Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit administration, and banking regulations. Experience Requirements 5+ years of commercial credit analysis and underwriting experience within a banking environment preferred. Experience analyzing complex commercial and consumer loan requests, financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow. Proficiency with UCA cash flow analysis, global cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessment. Prior leadership, supervisory, or team development experience preferred. Strong skills in financial analysis, loan structuring, and commercial credit presentations. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer throughout the day. Frequent use of a keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and by phone.
