This role is responsible for overall regional credit and collections activities and results, management of a regional team of supervisor and credit analysts, ensuring team adherence to TTI Inc.'s credit and collections policies, determining team processes and driving efficiencies, as well as collaboration and customer problem solving with the Sales Team. Our Regional Credit Manager:
Manage the regional credit team responsible for North America AR achieving designated performance goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Foster an inclusive work environment ensuring good team morale. Determine processes, train, establish performance goals and measure/review results, credit line underwriting, customer collections. Work with the offshore team in India who provides support services to the Credit team. Ensure team adherence to Company and Credit team policies and procedures. Monitor customer AR performance to identify risk and measure collection performance escalating risk issues to management and implementing corrective actions for issues. Personally handle activities with financially distressed customers and provide payment workout plans when needed. Manage team activity, collaborating with other Company teams, for the resolution of customer disputes and deductions. Perform thorough financial analysis for the underwriting of customer credit lines. Collaborate with the Sales team for evaluation of customer credit risk, collections assistance with problem customers, reporting on slow-paying customers, review of past due balances and required AR reserves, and review/release of customer orders. Effective handling of third-party commercial collections and customer bankruptcy filings. Manage projects as requested collaborating with Credit, Finance, Sales, and other Company teams. Collaborate with Company leaders and the IT team on system enhancements and new implementations. Work independently, demonstrate strategic abilities, and provide effective communications in the management of the Credit team. Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy in reporting and communications, and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Bachelor degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field strongly preferred. Minimum five years' experience in commercial B2B credit and collections required. Minimum three years' experience managing team members required. Experience analyzing customer financial statements for credit line underwriting is required. Experience with financially struggling and bankrupt companies preferred.
What we look for:
Experience managing teams of five or more. Experience working in commercial credit and collections. Exposure to accounting and finance is a plus. Knowledge of third-party commercial collections and bankruptcy laws and processes. Ability to analyze company financial statements for credit line underwriting. Professional and effective written and oral communications demonstrating the ability to influence others. Ability to analyze complex customer situations, including financial distress, and develop/implement workout and payment plans. Effective and concise oral and written communications. Ability to be a strategic thinker and provide a timely and accurate workflow. Ability to manage multiple activities, accept interruptions, and work across teams within all levels of management.
