GED Full Job Description Overview:
The Credit Representative proactively manages an assigned portfolio to mitigate corporate risk and optimize cash flow. This dynamic role is responsible for analyzing financial data, reviewing credit applications, and making strategic credit line recommendations. Acting as a key liaison, you will balance risk management with exceptional client communication to resolve financial challenges and drive positive business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
Oversee and manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, taking direct ownership of its financial health and cash flow optimization.
Credit Analysis:
Review credit applications and analyze complex financial data to evaluate creditworthiness for new and existing accounts.
Credit Risk Mitigation:
Formulate and present formal credit line recommendations to senior management while actively managing overall portfolio risk.
Client Communication:
Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients to resolve payment barriers, handle inquiries, and manage collections.
Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify portfolio discrepancies, analyze root causes, and implement efficient solutions to improve payment cycles.
Qualifications:
Core Competencies Financial & Analytical Acumen:
Ability to interpret financial data, grasp complex business concepts, and make data-driven risk assessments.
Proactive Problem-Solving:
Demonstrated ability to resolve critical portfolio issues and manage collections with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Strategic Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to navigate sensitive financial discussions with clients.
Decision-Making & Time Management:
Confident making critical credit recommendations while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Technical Proficiencies Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with Advanced Excel skills preferred. Prior experience with credit risk platforms like CreditSafe and FIS is preferred. Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems is considered a strong plus. Experience or interest in leveraging automation and AI tools to optimize financial workflows is preferred. Education High School Diploma required; a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is highly preferred.
