About the Role - The Bank's CCO is responsible for providing strategic direction, implementation, administration and management of all lending activities of the Bank. Responsible for the origination, underwriting, processing, closing, servicing, and compliance of the bank's lending activities. The CCO provides critical input to the development and administration of policies and procedures and oversees, plans, directs and coordinates all activities of the credit department, portfolio management, asset management and collections. The CCO designs, plans, implements, monitors and evaluates existing and new credit programs in compliance with regulatory guidelines, while meeting the needs of the customer. The Bank CCO is the Chair of the Management Loan Committee, and member of the Bank Executive, Asset and Liability (ALCO), CRA, and Risk Committees. The CCO reports to the CEO.
What You'll Be Doing:
Origination Ensure the bank is efficiently providing credit service to prospective and existing clients. Plan, establish and develop Bank credit related policies and procedures in accordance with FDIC rules and regulations. Manage the Bank's credit growth strategy and development consistent with the Bank's budget and Strategic Plan. Manage underwriting in conformance with Bank policy guidelines and limits. Manage the development, implementation and monitoring of the risk adjusted pricing for all credit extensions. Analyze the market and find and assist marketing and sales with new business opportunities. Assist in managing the establishment of long-term relationships with clients and strategic business partners. Assist in managing the design and delivery of the Bank's credit products and services. Manage regular Bank Credit Committee meetings with agendas, training and minutes Administration Manage all delinquencies, non-accruals, charge-offs, loan grades, watch and substandard credits. Manage the Bank's credit portfolio risk metrics and performance trends. Manage and monitor compliance with all credit related tickler activity. Manage the sourcing, development, testing, and monitoring of full credit underwriting and auto decision credit models. Develop with management team new successful commercial credit products identified in the Strategic Plan Define the scope of the Bank's credit box(s) and maintain a live granular credit risk rating system Identify, measure, manage and mitigate credit concentrations by geography, industry, collateral, type Manage credit collections, workouts, Portfolio and Asset Management Manage OREO/Special Assets and ensures compliance with policies and regulatory guidance regarding TDR and ALLL Manage the regulatory interaction regarding credit during examinations Manage the monitoring, reporting and tracking of credit exceptions Manage all reporting, special, monthly, or quarterly, all lending activities to the Bank Executive Committee and Board Qualifications and Requirements B.S. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or equivalent. Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferable. 10-15+ years extensive management experience at various levels. Personal Attributes Sound sense of responsibility, diligence and commitment to position and company values. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential. Confidence and decisiveness in driving the actions needed for the Bank to realize its short and long term strategic goals.
