This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive credit evaluations for customers and project opportunities Analyze financial statements, bank references, trade references, and credit reports Establish credit limits, payment terms, and customer risk ratings Maintain customer risk classifications and ongoing monitoring processes Identify emerging credit risks and recommend mitigation strategies Evaluate project funding, owner solvency, and payment security Review bonds, financing arrangements, and contractual protections Assess subcontractor risk and payment security Support the administration of surety bonding and Subcontract Default Insurance programs Partner with Legal, Contracts, Operations, Finance, and Risk Management on risk mitigation strategies Administer processes to preserve mechanic's lien rights, bond claim rights, and other statutory payment protections Ensure timely notices, filings, and supporting documentation are completed Coordinate with legal counsel on enforcement matters when necessary Manage the issuance, review, and tracking of lien waivers and releases Maintain controls over conditional and unconditional releases Monitor billing, payment trends, contract modifications, and other project risk indicators Escalate material risk concerns and recommend corrective actions Support the resolution of customer payment disputes and delinquent accounts Recommend preventive measures to reduce future receivable and bad debt exposure Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required 7+ years of experience in commercial credit, construction finance, risk management, or a related discipline Strong understanding of mechanic's liens and bond claims Strong financial statement analysis and project risk evaluation skills Construction industry experience strongly preferred Experience supporting complex commercial projects Federal contracting or government project experience preferred Experience with surety bonding programs and/or Subcontract Default Insurance preferred Strong Microsoft Excel skills ERP system experience preferred Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Contracts, Operations, and executive leadership Strong judgment and ability to identify, assess, and escalate financial risk Strong job stability and career progression preferred Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
