This role is responsible for ensuring properties remain compliant with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HUD, and other affordable housing program requirements while providing exceptional support to onsite teams and residents. Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Credit Specialist Manage and monitor compliance for LIHTC and affordable housing programs across multiple residential communities.
Review and process resident certifications, recertifications, income calculations, and supporting documentation. Conduct file audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations. Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare documentation for audits and regulatory reviews. Provide guidance and training to property management teams regarding affordable housing requirements and best practices. Review leasing activities to ensure adherence to program guidelines and occupancy requirements. Assist with reporting requirements and submission of compliance documentation to applicable agencies. Investigate and resolve compliance issues, deficiencies, and discrepancies in a timely manner. Stay informed of changes to affordable housing regulations and communicate updates to internal stakeholders. Partner with property managers and regional leadership to support successful property operations. Qualifications
  • Tax Credit Specialist Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of affordable housing, LIHTC, tax credit compliance, property management, or related experience. Strong knowledge of LIHTC regulations and affordable housing compliance requirements. Experience reviewing income certifications, recertifications, and eligibility documentation. Professional certifications such as HCCP, C3P, COS, TCS, or equivalent are preferred. Familiarity with HUD, Section 8, HOME, or other affordable housing programs is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret regulatory requirements accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with property management and compliance software preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and property portfolios effectively. #INJUL2026
