Job Description

Position Summary:
The individual in this role will be responsible for the maintenance of customer mortgage loan files and sorting and distribution of inter-bank routing and mail.
Essential Functions:
Maintain active and paid in full customer mortgage loan files by identifying and filing incoming documents and correspondence; ensure that documentation is accurately filed and/or scanned on a timely basis Sort and distribute mail to appropriate area of the Loan Servicing Center Scan all notes and note addendums, UCC filing statements, lease agreements, trust agreements, and power of attorney documents (when applicable) from new and conversion loan files. Scan extension, modification and assumption agreements that are executed and processed after the loan has closed. Retrieve files/documents and provide requested information via email, fax, or verbally, ensuring accurate, efficient, and courteous customer service. Pull paid in full loan files and deliver them to the Customer Service Department for preparation of releases; organize the paid in full loan files for permanent record retention and file accordingly. Perform active loan file audits on an annual basis. Research mailing addresses on return mail and update system, as necessary. Set up PUSH statement delivery and/or note statement delivery options in the mortgage loan system. Research and resolve returned email billing statement deliveries.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent One year of clerical experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skill Good customer service skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to initiate work activities with minimal supervision and exercise good independent judgement. Organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Thorough knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance issues affecting all aspects of their area of responsibility and the ability to apply such knowledge in day-to-day operations.
