Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Member Solutions Officer (MSO). This position could be assigned to work in any office as needed. Job Purpose:
Primary responsibility is to assist current and potential members with their financial needs both in person, by phone, and via electronic means. This position will have lending authority and, as such, will be responsible for accepting and analyzing consumer loan requests and making credit decisions based on Riverview's lending policies. This team member will open all types of deposit accounts for members, including but not limited to Savings Accounts, Checking Accounts, Certificates, and IRAs, as well as provide assistance with the full range of credit union products and services.

Key Job Responsibilities & Expectations:
Present an overall professional image in the areas of dress, communications, and conduct Provide first-class member service on a consistent basis Interviews members to collect loan information concerning their needs, earnings, and financial condition Analyzes current financial position of members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Makes decisions to approve loans only Establishes the terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews them with the member Explains loan programs to members, evaluates their needs and recommends loan options Prepares and/or reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy Participates in sales development activities, such as GAP and Life & Disability Protection, and other credit union deposit products Counsels members whose loans have been disapproved Assures that disbursements are made accurately and promptly and that loan documentation is properly completed and recorded Handles member inquiries and problem resolution. Researches accounts as needed and makes required adjustments in accordance with standard policies and practices Support the mortgage loan process by handling general inquiries, application requests, and basic processing requirements Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information Ability to identify member needs and maintain and support the credit union philosophy
Requirements:
Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred. Educational requirements may be relaxed with commensurate lending experience Experience in credit analysis and underwriting required Preference will be given to candidates with an active NMLS registration and experience in mortgage Lending Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan processing software Familiarity with credit scoring and risk based lending Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations Solid written and verbal communication skills Excellent customer service skills Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task Possess a positive and professional team attitude at all times Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and bondability
Schedule:
Approx. 40 hours / per week. Some overtime may be required.
Normal lobby hours of operations:
9:00AM to 5:00PM Mon-Fri. Shifts typically are 8 hrs although some 9 hr shifts could be required. Offices are closed on Saturdays and for all federal holidays.
Compensation:
Base pay will be commensurate with experience. Riverview also offers health and dental insurance options, paid holidays and time off, company matching 401(k) plan, company paid short-term disability and life insurance coverage.
