Full Job Description Job Summary:
Mortgage Servicing Specialist supports the mortgage loan servicing functions. Ensures all documents are accurate and complete and monitors processes and makes recommendations for improvement.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Inputs the loans into the servicing system and verifies investor.
- Makes loan payment processing and maintains a daily reconciliation of payments received and payments applied and insure variances are reconciled.
- Monitors and balances escrow disbursement activity.
- Process end of day transactions as required.
- Process payments and payoffs including tax and insurance payments.
- Prepare loan payoff quotes for the retail staff.
- Assist with preparation of the HMDA report. Together with the rest of the team, contribute solutions to continuously and proactively improve the financial health of our mortgage borrowers and anticipate the propensity of borrower delinquency.
- Verify that loan balances reported by investors reconcile to servicing system.
- Monitor and follow up on missing collateral documentation.
- Assist with special projects as required.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree preferred.- Two plus years in the mortgage industry; secondary experience preferred.
- Ability to work under critical time constraints.
- Ability to multi-task and enjoy doing it along with presenting a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Keen problem solving and resolution technique.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
- Proficient use of Word and Excel with experience producing useful management reports.
