Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused SBA Loan Servicing Specialist to join a growing lending team. This role is responsible for supporting loan servicing and note accounting functions, including processing loan advances, balancing general ledger accounts, sending wires, posting transactions, and maintaining accurate loan records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, an understanding of debits and credits, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Banking experience is highly preferred, and this position offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Key Responsibilities Book new loans and maintain accurate loan records within the banking system. Process SBA loan servicing activities, including modifications, deferments, and account updates. Post daily loan payments, disbursements, and advances. Balance general ledger accounts and research discrepancies. Process wire transfers related to loan transactions. Prepare payoff letters, lien releases, borrower correspondence, and title company documentation. Process paid-in-full loans and collateral releases. Generate and distribute daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Answer incoming calls and assist borrowers, customers, and business partners. Provide administrative support to the lending department. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Basic accounting knowledge required, including understanding debits and credits. Previous accounting, banking, loan servicing, or administrative experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to learn banking and loan servicing software quickly Preferred Experience Banking or financial institution experience. Loan servicing or loan operations experience. General ledger balancing and reconciliation experience. Wire processing experience. Commercial lending or SBA loan exposure. Physical Requirements Frequent computer and keyboard use Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Occasional bending, kneeling, stooping, and walking Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
